BUCHAREST AIRPORTS - CLOSED DURING THE NATO SUMMIT |

Baneasa” and “Otopeni” International Airports will be closed during the NATO summit due in Bucharest between April the 2nd and 4th 2008, for security reasons. The representative of the “Henri Coanda” airport in Otopeni has said any emergency situation will be treated as such and planes in such situations will be allowed to land. In the same period, Bucharest will be a closed city, with traffic restrictions being imposed on the DN1 National Road. Attending the NATO summit to be hosted by Romania’s capital city, one of the largest political events in the world, will be 3,000 participants, among whom 26 leaders of the allied countries and 3,500 journalists.
