On FRIDAY “A Challenge for the Future” will bring to the forefront a discussion on what “politically correct” means, one of the concepts which the European Union asked Romania to implement. Find out more the latest pros and cons in this debate in Friday’s “A Challenge for the Future”, from several opinion makers and common people from the streets.
Also on Friday in “The Folk Music Box” listen to some humorous Romanian folk songs from various regions of the country.

On SATURDAY in “World of Culture” we will take a look at the 17th National Theatre Festival, which took place in Bucharest in early November. Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs, the UNITER Theatre Union in Romania and the Bucharest City Hall, the festival also enjoyed the participation of some international theatre companies. Listen to “World of Culture” on Saturday to find out more.
Also on Saturday “RRI Encyclopaedia” will take you to a historic place in Bucharest, the Capsa House confectionary, while “Roots” will introduce you into the world of Romanian carpenters.

On SUNDAY in “Inside Romania” you will meet some of the Romanian celebrities who chose to give something back to society, by being involved in charity work. Amalia Nastase, wife to famous Romanian tennis player Ilie Nastase, together with Andreea Raicu, a well known Romanian TV presenter and the organisation Save the Children are preparing the 2007 Christmas Trees’ Festival. Find out the details in Sunday’s “Inside Romania”.
This weekend in “Sunday Studio”, Ana Maria Palcu will talk to American researcher of Romanian origin Jon Cepoi, in the “Romanians around the World” Series. Later in the programme, she will interview Irish playwright Raymond Scannell, one of the guests at the 17th National Theatre Festival in Bucharest.
And jazz music lovers, don’t forget about “All That Jazz”, also on Sunday.

On MONDAY “Pro Memoria” will look at Freemasonry in Romania in the 19th century and the establishment of the modern state. The main political objective on Freemasonry in Romania in the first half of the 19th century was to accomplish its ideals. The main adversaries of the movement were the Ottoman domination on the principalities of Moldova and Muntenia and the secularization of the public space. Romanian liberal elites, who eventually succeeded in building modern Romania, belonged to Freemason French Lodges, having the most radical political agendas. But tune in on Monday’s “Pro Memoria” to find out more.
Also on Monday, “Pages of Romanian Literature” will portray Romanian poet and prose writer Nina Cassian, part of the “Writers from Romanian Exile” Series.

On TUESDAY “Business Club” will take a look at luxury products in Romania, which seam to be selling ever better. This year, the threshold for entering the top 300 richest Romanians, put together by the “Capital” Magazine, rose from 9 to 12 million dollars. In Tuesday’s “Business Club” you will learn how well some luxury products are selling in this country, like jewellery, cars, yachts and furniture.

On WEDNESDAY in “Society Today” we will look at how healthy Romanians’ eating habits are. Data of recent studies show a worrying trend among Romanians, who are neglecting the basics of a healthy lifestyle. 43% of active Romanians who live in urban areas don’t have regular daily meals, while 58% of them do not exercise. In Wednesday’s “Society Today” we will try to find out how preoccupied Romanians are with their diets.
And don’t forget about “Romanian Musicians” which is devoted to Romanian piano player Dana Ciocarlie, at her 40th anniversary.

On THURSDAY “Traveller’s Guide” will invite you to discover and enjoy some of the tourist attractions in the Apuseni Mountains, in western Romania. In the area you will discover the largest number of caves in the country and also one of the most interesting ethnographic areas, the Moti Land.
Also on Thursday “The Skylark” will bring you songs from Romanian villages in various regions of the country.
