Turkish police again used tear gas and water cannons to disperse thousands of anti-government protesters, who had taken to the streets of Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir for the tenth time on Sunday night. Protesters were calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Recep Erdogan, whom they accuse of authoritarian behavior and the tendency of Islamizing the country. The Prime Minister has deemed the protestors as extremists and has denounced a plot allegedly staged from the interior as well as from abroad.
