ANCOM launches a virtual museum of telecommunication equipment |

On its webpage, ANCOM has opened a virtual museum of electronic equipment communications, which can be found at this address.
The museum includes images of outdated communications equipment made available by the Authority employees and shows the public how communications developed in time.
On display in the virtual museum are a mini-collection of radio receivers, models of the last phone terminals made of ebonite produced in Romania, phone sets used on the battlefield in WW II, the first devices to measures frequencies used by the Authority experts as well as fixed telephone terminals dating from the early 20th century.
The virtual museum was opened on May 17th 2013 to mark the International Telecommunications Day and is a follow-up of the communications equipment exhibition inaugurated in 2011, which traveled to several cities across Romania.
