Romania’s Prime Minister designate, Social-Democrat Victor Ponta, is making public his proposals for the membership of his cabinet. He has recently announced the government will have 16 portfolios and 20 members.
Ponta has said the new cabinet will be made up of members of the Social Liberal Union, the big alliance of the opposition, and possibly by technocrats, backed by the alliance.
The swearing in vote in parliament is due on May 7th.
The former cabinet, led by Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu, was sacked, just two months and a half since it took office, following a censure motion filed by the Social Liberal Union.
