Romania’s President, Traian Basescu, is currently on an official visit to the Czech Republic, at the invitation of his Czech counterpart, Vaclav Klaus. Talks with the Czech President, Prime Minister and parliament leaders will focus on Romanian--Czech cooperation, the situation in the West Balkans and the enlargement issue. Also under discussion will be the consequences of the economic crisis in the EU, as well as the efficiency of measures adopted at European level. Also on the Romanian president’s agenda is a meeting with delegates of the Romanian community.
