His is a one-year mandate and his candidacy, nominated by the President & CEO of Radio France Internationale, Alain de Pouzilhac, has been unanimously endorsed.
The Euranet Group consists of 14 international, national and local radio broadcasters from 11 European Union member countries. Funded by the European Commission, under a 5-year project, Euranet reports on air and online (www.euranet.eu) on cultural, social, economic and political events in Europe, from a pan-European perspective, broadcasting news, current affairs, magazine-type shows, documentaries (specialized reports, aired in all languages a few times a year with various themes, from immigration, energy and environment to life style), as well as live reports on important events in Europe, 3-4 times a year. The group was established in 2007, upon the initiative of Radio France Internationale and Deutsche Welle.
The founding members include such prestigious partners as Radio Romania International, Radio Netherlands, Radio Prague, Radio Slovenia International and Polskie Radio.
