RRI’s English language program to Western Europe, airing at 17.00 hours UTC, is simultaneously transmitted daily by RADIOCOM in analogue system on 11 735kHz and in the DRM (Digital Radio Mondiale)system on 9535 Khz. As early as March the 1st 2008, the first 30 minutes of this English language program have been broadcast to Great Britain, in the DRM system, by a transmitter located in Norway, by the British provider WRN, on 7460 kHz.
The same improvement for RRI’s German language program to Central and Western Europe airing at 18.00 UTC summer time, which is simultaneously transmitted daily by RADIOCOM in the DRM (Digitale Radio Mondiale) system on 9775 kHz and in the analogue system on 7440 kHz. The first 30 minutes of this German program are transmitted daily to Germany and Austria by a transmitter located in Norway, by WRN, on 7460 Khz.
It is also worth noting that as of March the 29th 2009, the English language programme of RRI, tradiitonally airing at 12.00 UTC, will be broadcast an hour earlier, at 11.00 UTC, on the following frequencies: 11 775 kHz and 15 210 kHz.
This short-wave broadcast to Western Europe will also be received in many English-speaking African countries, on 15 430 kHz and 17 730 kHz.
